Obituary

Darren Brian Fleming passed away on September 18, 2026, in Poulsbo, WA. Born in Houston, TX, in 1978 to Carol and Lou Fleming, Darren grew up alongside his twin brother, Kenneth, before the family settled on Bainbridge Island. He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1997, where he became part of a close-knit group of friends who shared a love of skiing, tennis, giving each other a hard time, and laughing together.

Quiet but incredibly witty, Darren had a fantastic sense of humor and a laugh that made time spent with him truly special. He earned an accounting degree from Western Washington University in 2007 and built a career in the Puget Sound seafood industry.

Away from work, he loved riding motorcycles and playing tennis, where he reached ranked amateur status. Darren was adored by his nieces and nephews and treasured by his family and friends. He leaves behind countless happy memories, unforgettable laughs, and moments that those who knew him will always treasure.

Darren was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Wilson. Darren is survived by his parents, Carol and Lou Fleming; his twin brother, Kenneth; sister-in-law, Kate; nephews, Bill, Waylon, Charlie, and Jack; niece, Scarlett; and aunt, Sandra Fleming. He will be remembered with love, laughter, and a smile by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Services will be held November 14, 2026, from 2–4 p.m. at Island Center Hall, 8395 Fletcher Bay Rd NE, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110.
