Eileen Theresa Marshall passed away on September 24, 2026, just six days before her 76th birthday. Eileen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend whose intelligence, generosity, curiosity, and caring spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Eileen was born in San Francisco, California, on September 30, 1950, to James and Dorothea (Holevas) Marshall. She grew up in Seattle and graduated from Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart and earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in French at the University of Washington.
Eileen had a natural ability to connect with people. She enjoyed a successful career as a radio and television marketing consultant. Her intelligence, communication skills, and understanding of people served her well professionally, and she took pride in the career she built. Yet, for all her professional accomplishments, her greatest role and deepest source of pride was being a mother.
Eileen shared 53 years of marriage with her husband, Gary Moore. Together, they built a life filled with love, shared experiences, and cherished memories.
Her son, Alex, and his wife, Sabrina, brought her immense joy, and becoming a grandmother to Theo and Eloise added another treasured dimension to her life. She loved her family deeply.
Eileen’s interests reflected her many talents. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, and sharing experiences with others. She was also a talented watercolor artist, expressing her creativity and appreciation for beauty through her paintings.
She loved tennis, but golf held a special place in her heart. A passionate and accomplished golfer, Eileen relished the challenge of the game and the time spent outdoors. Her competitive spirit, determination, and skill made golf more than a pastime; it was a pursuit she truly loved and excelled at.
Eileen is survived by her husband, Gary Moore; her son, Alex, and daughter-in-law, Sabrina Katz; and her beloved grandchildren, Theo and Eloise. She will also be lovingly remembered by extended family members and many friends whose liveswere enriched by knowing her.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Eileen’s life will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church on Bainbridge Island, Washington, with a reception to follow in the church hall. All are welcome.
