Alexander Bruce Myers

passed away October 21th at his home in Port Ludlow with his family by his side. Alec was born in Seattle to Harold Brown Myers & Alura Dumas Myers, both from Washington Pioneer Families. Graduate of Garfield High School in 1954, Graduate University of Washington 1958, member of Phi Kappa Psi. Retired Captain US Army Infantry.Alec spent his career as an Insurance Agent, CEO Alexander Myers Insurance Agency Inc. Member CPCU, WA and King Co Agents & Brokers. Loved gardening, camping, boating and fishing. He was a founding member of Grace Episcopal Church on Bainbridge Island. Past member of Eagle Harbor Yacht Club and Current member Port Ludlow Yacht Club.Raised in Seattle, spent summers on Bainbridge Island as a child. Lived on Bainbridge Island from 1961-2005 and in 2005 moved to Port Ludlow.Alec was preceded in death by his parents Harold & Alura and sister Susan Campbell. He is survived by his beloved wife Jeanette of 48 years, son Alexander "Lex," daughters Diane Harris (Steve), Cheri, and Deborah (Tim Petersen) , two Grandsons, Armor & Archer, sister Janet Stewart and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.Friends and family are invited to attend his memorial service Saturday November 7th, at 1:00 pm, Grace Episcopal Church, E. Day Rd, Bainbridge Island, WA. Reception following at the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, Memorials suggested to Grace Church Landscape Fund, Helpline of Bainbridge Island, or Jefferson County Hospice.
