Darlene Kay Edwards of La Conner, WA. and formerly of Port Gamble passed away Friday April 12, 2019 at Harborview Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Bremerton, Washington October 16, 1958 she was the daughter of John II and Delores (Sullivan) George and was 60 years of age.
Darlene was an avid gardener and would often times just go from house to house of family and friends tending their gardens. She was employed most recently as a casino floor person before her illness.
In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband Ronald G. Edwards of Portland, Oregon, and her sister in law Evonne April Edwards of Suquamish. She is survived by her beloved children Brian and Carla Edwards of Portland, Oregon, her loving granddaughter Aiyanna Edwards of Portland, 3 loving sisters; Julie George and her husband Bill of La Conner, Etta Barr of Tri-Cities, Joanna Corrallis of Puyallup, and 4 loving brothers; John George II of Deming, Robert George of La Conner, Richard George of Deming, and Jake George of Puyallup.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday April 19, 2019 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon followed by her service at 12:00 noon at the Port Gamble S'klallam Tribal Center 31912 Little Boston Road NE Kingston, WA. The interment will be made at the Tribal Cemetery immediately following the service.
