Heinz Walter Billing

a long time Bainbridge Island resident, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2010 at the age of 86. Walt was born on July 18, 1923 in Gaumnitz, Germany to Walter Max Billing and Frieda Martha Knauth. He immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island in 1926 at the age of 3. He was a graduate of Queen Anne School, Seattle in 1942 and worked in Seattle as an electrician until his retirement. He enjoyed watching the water from the cabin he built in 1955 on the Sandpit. Walt was a devoted and loving father and is survived by his three children: Christine (Marv) Campion of Bainbridge Island, Roy (Donna) Billing of Mountlake Terrace, WA and Peggy (Jim) Bennett of Pampa, Texas as well as eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. At his request, there will be no services. Arrangements will be made by Cook Family Funeral Home with interment at Acacia Cemetery in Seattle.
