Jeanniene (Jean) Hanners

Janine (Jean) Hanners of Bainbridge Island passed away Wednesday February 6, 2019 with her loving sons at her side. Born in Midland, Michigan on December 27, 1933 she was the daughter of Neil and Ruth (Robison) Brown and was 85 years of age.


Jean as she was known by most grew up and attended school in Midland. She would later meet and marry the love of her life Howard W. Hanners and they would have two sons Steven and John. It would be years later the family would move to Bainbridge Island.


Jean loved sailing, and she and Howard were known to disappear on their sailboat in the San Juan Islands from time to time. Jean was also known as an amateur remodeler and enjoyed working on every house she ever owned. Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband Howard in 2010.
