Marian Jean Rees

Marian Jean Rees of Bainbridge Island passed away peacefully with her beloved partner at her side. Born in Le Mars, Iowa she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Clarissa (Burkett) Rees. Marian was a graduate of the University of Iowa making her a forever "Hawkeye".


Marian would later move to Los Angeles, specifically Studio City where she would find a career in Television and Movie Production and would become known for her Hallmark Masterpiece Movies which she co produced with her partner and love of her life Anne. Marian would also be an active member of many organizations related to her career including being the Former President of Women in Film, Former President of the Producers Guild of America, and a Board member of the Foundation for the University of Iowa.


Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home.
