passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. She was born on December 25, 1916 in Sultan, Washington and was 93 years of age. She and Walter moved to Bainbridge Island in 1955 when Dr. Studerus opened his dental practice. Marjory worked for the Seattle Times and also as a dental assistant for her husband Dr. Studerus. She enjoyed volunteering as a vintage clothing model for Goodwill. She was a member of the Bainbridge Coral for 35 years and Eagle Harbor Congregational Church where she was a part of the "lunch bunch" and the Circle. She was a member of the church choir for over 40 years. She enjoyed painting, music, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Marjory is survived by her son Rolle Olsen Studeus of Orting, WA, daughter Joy Studerus Hodgin of Poulsbo, WA, grandchildren; Eric, Scott and Kim Studerus and Christopher, Amber, Matthew, Hallie, Emelie and Ethan Hodgin. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren; Jessica and Dakota Hodgin and Jillian Studerus, also her son in-law's Steve Hodgin and Nathan Adams and her nephew Jim Rhynard and his wife Kathy. Marjory was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Walter Studerus, and Carl Olsen, also sister's Wilda Wisman and Ellen Hickman. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Service on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Eagle Harbor Congregational Church on Bainbridge Island. Memorial contributions can be made to the Society for the Blind.
