passed away on Friday, August 21, 2009 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on June 18, 1983 in Seattle, Washington and was 26 years of age.Nathan was raised in Indianola and spent his childhood playing in the woods and on the beach with his cousins and siblings. He loved his hometown and his family. He was particularly close to his uncles, in whose video stores he worked for many years. Nathan had a keen sense of humor and was a talented guitar player. He enjoyed video games, movies, reading, writing, philosophy, watching baseball, swimming, and hiking. He graduated from North Kitsap High School in 2001. Nathan is survived by his mother and stepfather, Shannon and Paul Russell, his siblings Irene, Myrna, Leo, and Oliver, his grandmothers Geraldine Smith-Paramore and Betsy Keliher, numerous aunts and uncles, his godmother Joan McCarron, and 34 cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers John K. Smith and George Keliher. His family will miss him very much. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Monday, August 31, 2009 from 4:00 PM until the start of the Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 PM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 1310 Madison Ave North, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 6:00 PM also at the church. Interment will be private. A reception will follow at the Church Conger Hall.
