Stephen Douglas Lane

91 of Fletcher Bay on Bainbridge Island passed away peacefully on July 11 at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton. He was born in Long Beach, California in 1924.He served in the Coast Guard during WWII. He loved newspapers and worked at the Los Angeles Times during most of his career. He graduated from Woodbury College and also received a Master's Degree from USC.He is survived by his wife Beverly who lives on Bainbridge Island, his son Mark who lives on Molokai Island in Hawaii, his son William of Dana Point, California and his sister Elizabeth of Fresno, California. Celebration of Life service to be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Cook Family Funeral Home. Arrangement entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home.
