David Lloyd McArdle

 David Lloyd McArdle “Dirty Dave”

David was born in Seattle on June 6, 1945, to Kenyon and Edna McArdle. He passed away on July 9, 2025. He was the father of two daughters and Grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

David served in the Army and was stationed in Korea.

He was a logger for over 50 years, working as a climber and tree topper. He came up with the bumper sticker “Clear Cut Bainbridge” as a joke, and it has carried on to this day.

David enjoyed playing poker with friends, traveling anywhere he could visit new places, enjoyed collecting art, and had his own style of photography from close-ups of nature to bird's-eye views taken in the trees he climbed, and people. He had a great sense of humor, always had a story or a joke to tell, and made friends wherever he went. He loved a good laugh, even at himself. He helped countless people throughout his life.

David is survived by his wife, Marilyn, brother, daughters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
