In Loving Memory of David Arthur Webb

August 4th, 1942 — October 17th, 2025

With grateful hearts, we remember the life of David Webb, who was called home to be with the Lord on October 17th, 2025. David’s journey through life was marked by a deep love for travel and the outdoors. He spent countless hours hiking the scenic trails of the Pacific Northwest, skiing the slopes of Colorado, boating through the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands, and camping across the United States. Some of his favorite places were the beaches of Maui, the Washington Coast, and Alicante, Spain. Closer to home, David and Carol found joy tending their garden together and watching the boats at Fay Bainbridge.

David’s desire for independence and his entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Webb Process Equipment in Ohio in 1967. Through dedication and hard work, David and his brother grew the business until it provided the freedom to enjoy the lifestyle he cherished. After relocating to the PNW, David established a west coast-based branch of the business with his son-in-law and continued to enjoy success until retiring in 2018.

A self-taught guitar player, David developed the folk music program Sing Along Alive, which brought music to hundreds of schools and national parks across the country. Most days of the week you could find David singing somewhere on Bainbridge: KidiMu, the Boys and Girls Club, Bainbridge Senior Center, Seabold Methodist, Bainbridge Senior Living facilities, or Fieldstone. He felt privileged to be asked to sing for many community members’ memorial services. His love for music led him to record several CDs featuring collections of hymns and folk songs. “Singing is as essential as breathing.” – David Webb

David is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Carol Smith Webb; his children Cindy (Jon) Correa of Bainbridge Island, and Lisa (Luis Vaya Utiel) Webb of Santa Pola, Spain; his cherished grandchildren Orion, Rigel, Calisto, Marina, Joshua, and Nicolas; great-grandchildren Cadence and Josie; and his brother Bill (Marge) Webb of Brecksville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Ethel Webb, and his brother, Bob Webb.

His service will be held on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at 2:00 PM at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Please join us.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in David’s honor may be made to the local chapter of Kiwanis, of which David was a longtime member, or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
