Donna Lee Jones (X̌aqu·b), aged 78 of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe, WA, born April 7, 1948, was called home on August 30, 2026. She crossed over surrounded by love from her three children, R. Brian Perry (Hopi-Cheelth), Kara L. Horton-Wright (X̌aqu·b) and Rogina D. Steiner (x̣čə́ŋ̕tənuʔ), and her loving husband, Douglas C. Coleman.
Donna will be remembered by her devotion to her family, community, and friends; her love for bubbles, the ocean, the annual Canoe Journey, tribal culture, and her witty sense of humor.
She is survived by her husband Doug C. Coleman, three children R. Brian Perry, Kara Horton-Wright (Curtis Wright) Rogina D. Steiner (Tony Steiner); Grandchildren Robert B. Horton, Sandra Horton, Thomas Horton, John A. Horton, Curtis Wright, Jarred Wright, Alex Wright, David Perry, Raina Perry, Melia Beckwith, and Megan Dwyer; Great Grandchildren Trinity Horton, Lyric Horton, Ryleigh Horton, Bailey Horton, Izaiah Reynolds, Naomi Reynolds, Shane Brown, Lillian Brown, Natalie Brown, Kimberly Perry, Everly Moore, Mason Purser, Harper Horton, Bradley Horton, Desmond Horton and Jack Brown; and beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and honorary family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian L. Jones and Robert E. Jones. Brothers R. Michael Jones (k̕ʷqéynx̣ən), Oliver R. Jones (Ta-tooch-win-is), Alan C. Jones, Kevin T. Jones (Hopi-Cheelth), sister Karen E. Harris; and great-granddaughter Aniya Horton, niece Rhonda Smith, nephews James Smith and Sonny Smith.
Services will be held on September 15, 2026, at the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribal Gym, 31912 Little Boston Road NE, Kingston, WA 98346.
Donna will be buried with her family in the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribal Cemetery immediately following the service.
