He pursued this interest academically, earning a bachelor's degree that laid the foundation for his career in environmental science. Throughout his professional life, he contributed significantly to the preservation of the environment, advocating for sustainable practices and engaging in countless projects that reflected his commitment to the planet. Frederick proudly served in the United States Navy, where he developed a sense of duty and discipline that would guide him throughout his life.
