George Larry Eads

George Larry Eads, 79, of Bremerton, Washington died on Monday, August 27th 2018. Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Saturday, September 1st 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Nels Nelson Road.
Mr. Eads died from cancer at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, WA and was surrounded by family and loved ones as he passed peacefully from this life.
George Larry Eads was born July 9th, 1939 in Covington, Kentucky. He graduated Holmes High School in Covington and remained close to his friends and classmates always looking forward to class reunions. He enlisted in the US Army and met his beautiful wife Ann Ramsay Eads at the Presidio in San Francisco where they were both stationed. He was honorably discharged from the Army and married shortly thereafter. During their marriage they resided in Kentucky, California, and finally Washington. They were blessed with six daughters and opened their hearts and homes to additional daughters along the way. Throughout the years they welcomed nineteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
George continued to serve his country as a civil servant with the US Government and retired from SWFPAC subbase Bangor, Washington.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a gracious servant to all those he came in contact with. He was kind and compassionate and strived daily to put the needs of others first. He remained very active and involved with his church and served faithfully. He participated in several volunteer groups and passionately advocated for special interest organizations.
Survivors include his wife Ann Ramsay Eads of Bremerton, WA, daughters Monique Klose of Bremerton, WA, Jennifer Wallis of Preston, ID, Georgina Poston of Pamplico, SC, Carla Eads of Bremerton, WA, Bonnie Tubbs of Bremerton, WA, Lucinda Kallio of Silverdale, WA, Stacia Swisher of Bremerton, WA, and Rozanne Carnahan of Lacey, WA, Cindy Devine of Santa Maria, CA sister Regeana Morgan of Cleves, OH, Carl Eads of Russellville, OH. As well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many close friends that will all miss him dearly.
George L. Eads was predeceased in death by his grandson, Bailey Kallio, brothers Ervin Raymond Eads and Robert Leon Eads.
In lieu of Flowers memorials can be made to two organizations close to his heart the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention (afsp.org) and the backpacks for children program.
