Joyce Annette Milliren

Joyce Annette Milliren, 85, passed away ­­­peacefully in her sleep on April 20, 2026, at home on Bainbridge Island following a short illness.

She was born December 5th, 1940, in Seattle, Washington, to Otto and Iola (Brigfield) Helstrom. A life-long Bainbridge Island resident, she graduated fifth in her class from Bainbridge High School in 1959. Joyce then went to work as a receptionist for Puget Sound Power and Light on the Island until her retirement to be a homemaker in 1975. She enjoyed being involved in the community, and through her employment, she answered calls to donate to the Rotary Auction. Joyce also volunteered with the local Children’s Orthopedic Auxiliary.

Joyce loved her family deeply and leaves behind her two children, Jason (Susan) of Tacoma, WA, and Peter of Bainbridge Island. She was also a loving and proud grandmother to Tyler (21) and Carter (18).
