Born on June 5, 1960, in North Carolina, Karl Paul Post spent his early days there due to his father’s military service. However, it was Washington that he called home for most of his life. He lived in Port Townsend and Seattle, but eventually settled on Bainbridge Island, finding a community he deeply loved.
Karl worked at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino up until his death, where he was beloved by colleagues and patrons alike. His warm and welcoming nature made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
A lifelong Seattle Mariners fan, Karl could often be found cheering for his favorite team with a healthy skepticism about their long-term success. His passion extended beyond baseball to his community, especially the wonderful friends and staff at Bainbridge Brewing, where he found a second family.
Above all, Karl will be remembered for his incredible kindness, gentle nature, loyalty, and generosity. His spirit touched many lives, leaving an indelible mark of warmth and compassion.
He is survived by his sister, Zara Neucklovak, and mother, Donnia Christine Gray.
In this time of mourning, we celebrate the life of a remarkable man whose legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him. A memorial will be held at the Bainbridge Brewing Taproom on Tuesday, August 27, at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Karl’s name to the Kitsap Humane Society.
