passed away peacefully and without pain on Sunday, February 8, 2015 while vacationing on the California Coast. She was 78 years of age.She was born to Ethel and Russell Ringering in Alton Illinois, which is on the Mississippi River and near St. Louis, Missouri. Marge is a descendant of mostly of German and Irish ancestors. Marge lived her childhood in Alton and attended Nursing School at Washington University in St. Louis, a working school at that time, where she received a BS Degree in Nursing. She continued to work there on some of the first open heart surgery patients in the country.Marge eventually decided to move out West with a friend. Coincidentally, their car broke down in front of the brand new University of Washington Hospital. They inquired about jobs there and were hired on the spot. Marge was involved in setting up the first intensive care facility at the hospital. When Marge got married and started a family she switched to Virginia Mason to avoid rotating shifts and became a floating charge nurse. She remained there for 30 plus years and raised two children during that time.Marge was preceded in death by her parents and the recent loss of her son, Joseph, and dog, Barney. They are now visiting. Marge is survived by her husband Tom, daughter Jenni, daughter-in law-Stacie, grandsons Thomas M. "Mick" and Joseph P. "Joey", and Marge's two sisters Susan and Carol.Marge is known for her love of travel, adventure, excellent cooking skills and of course her love of family. She loved her old car friends, steam boat friends and also her boating friends. She was thankful for fate bringing her to this area for its wonderful weather, life and people.
