passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Island Health and Rehabilitation on Bainbridge Island, Washington. She was born on December 17, 1919 in Arlington, Washington and was 90 years of age. Maxine was a resident of Bainbridge Island. She owned a bakery in Winslow in the 1950's and was also a cook in several restaurants in Ocean Shores. She was a chef for the Washington State Senate for 16 years. She enjoyed volunteering at the Helpline House on Bainbridge Island for 10 years. Maxine was an Elder of the Snoqualmie Tribe. While employed by the state senate, she had the pleasure of meeting with and cooking for many foreign dignitaries, senators and governors. She is survived by her son Jon Jacobson and daughter in-law Joyce of Bainbridge Island, sisters Pat Carlson of Lynnwood, WA and Lottie of Ukiah, California, also her sister in-law Delores Bertrand of Tonaket, WA. There are eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Eric Jacobson and children Ray and Joe Muholland . Private family services will be held with interment in Seabold Cemetery on Bainbridge Island.
