Michael K Jarrell

Michael K. Jarrell, 70, passed away May 12, 2025 at his home in Kingston WA with his wife by his side.  Michael was diagnosed in November, 2024 with an aggressive 4th stage Lung cancer along with other illnesses. 

Michael born August 4, 1954 in Hillsboro, OR to Jack D. Jarrell & Elsie Kiepke-Jarrell.  Mike had 11 siblings, 3 children: David Kiepke in Arizona, Darryl Kiepke in Oregon, and Ashley Jarrell in Washington State, and many grand children and great-grand children. Mike was married to his beloved wife Cheryl Jarrell for 20 years and had  their wedding anniversary on May 7, 2025 and celebrated being together while Mike was having unconditional pain. 

Mike worked from warehouse jobs to truck driving in his early years then he went to college to study Criminology.  He later moved to San Diego, CA to finish college and worked at his cousin’s custom auto shop.  Mike’s passion for music was his best playing his guitars and keyboard - he would hear a song on the radio and go grab his guitar or keyboard and started playing and singing the songs. He loved going to NASCAR races in Arizona and watch NASCAR on tv every weekend, and he watched the political programs. He was always up to going camping at the ocean, car and boat shows, outside concerts, and garage sales! 

At Mike’s request, he will be cremated with no services and will be taking his ashes to Oregon to scatter on his mother’s graveside on Memorial Weekend and have a gathering after. He wanted to be remembered when family and friends visited him last with all the laughter we all shred with him. He deeply loved his family and friends with all his heart.
