Michelle Rene Stice, age 47, passed away peacefully on March 8 th , 2023, in Seattle with her parents by her side.
Michelle was born on April 10 th , 1975, in Gilroy, CA to Raymond and Christina (Espinoza) Stice. Michelle moved to the North Kitsap area when she was 11 years old and graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1995.
Michelle had many fond memories of participating in Special Olympics and supporting her sister’s fastpitch team- the Diamond Dusters. Michelle was the bat girl for the Diamond Dusters for many years, traveling all over the United States and creating lasting relationships and memories along the way. Michelle played numerous sports for Special Olympics and took great pride in the medals she received for her achievements. Michelle was selected to carry to the torch into the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle.
Michelle volunteered for the North Kitsap School District for several years and received the Certificate of
Merit from the Washington Association of School Administrators in 2016.
Michelle spent much of her free time coloring, completing word searches or fill-ins and looked forward to watching longtime family friends race sprint cars at the Skagit Speedway every summer.
Family was everything to Michelle and she was very proud of her niece and nephew- Aubrey and Talon. She would always have their back, even when she probably shouldn’t have. This is testament to her extreme loyalty to the ones she truly loved.
Michelle is proceeded in death by her Nana and Uncles Tommy and Rod. Michelle is survived by her parents, sister Ashley (Jason) Hedstrom, niece, Aubrey, nephew, Talon, Grandparents Ray and Opal Stice, Aunts Stella Pak and Betty Stice, Uncle Richard (Nan) Stice, god-siblings Adriana and Dillan Pak and numerous cousins.
