Zachary Robert Rose of Bainbridge Island passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2021. Born in Seattle on April 20, 1988, Zach was the beloved son of Deborah Rose and Stephen Rose. Even as a baby, he seemed to have his parents and everyone else figured out. The family moved to a new home on Bainbridge Island in 1997 where he entered Blakely Elementary School and lived on an idyllic cul-de-sac. Zach was a brilliant, loyal, intense, and passionate young man, with a searingly funny sense of humor and enormous potential. He dearly loved his family, and especially his awesome crew of Bainbridge compadres. Zach learned how to read at an early age, a passion that stayed with him his entire life. He was also a gifted writer. In grade school, teachers would question whether he actually wrote his own papers. After graduating from Bainbridge High School in 2006 he went on to graduate from Western Washington University with a B.A. in Communications. He had a deep and consummate knowledge of history, philosophy, film, and a love of classical music. He was fiercely loved, will be missed terribly, and his parents feel fortunate and proud to have had him as their amazing son. The image of his wry, knowing smile and sound of his infectious laugh will remain with all who knew and loved him.
May you rest in peace Zach.
